Jeg har i den senere tid arbeidet mer og mer med smykker. Bruker da lampwork, Effitre (murano glass) og smelter - maler med glass i farger. Arbeider med å finne "min form" og et salgbart konsept slik at jeg på sikt kanskje kan lage nettbutikk og selge smykker i glass og sølv. Det er en meditativ prosess som setter tankene i gang og gir ro i sjelen.
Jeg har vært på et fantastisk kurs i sølv og smykkedesign på Raulandsakademiet, lærte så mye og er kjempeinspirert til å få på plass alt utstyret jeg trenger, inkl eget sølvstempel. Patentet til ansvarsmerket er klart, nå venter jeg bare på at det skal bli ferdig hos leverandør.
I sommer har jeg arbeidet med et spennede prosjek for Oljemuseet, der jeg har laget 258 glass smykker hvor en bit av metallet fra Alexander Kielland plattformens brudd er felt inn. Dette skal gis til overlevende og pårørende etter tragedien nå den 1. september og etter det kan jeg sikkert legge ut bilder.

Jeg har etablert mitt nye verksted på Heskestad. Her har jeg fått meg to fine verksteder, ett til lampwork og smykkedesign som jeg ønsker å fokuserer på fremover. Lampwork er ikke så vanlig i Norge, det er smelting av glass på åpen flamme (torch) og gir mulighet for å lage glassperler og små figurer som herdes i ovn etter produksjon. Jeg bruker disse håndlagede perlene sammen med sølv og tre og lager på den måten unike smykker. Jeg har også ett verksted til mosaikk, maling mm og til diverse håndarbeid.
Når det er behov for det arbeider jeg som vikarlærer innen Desgin og Håndverk på Godalen og Vågen VGS.
Martha Elisabeth is a visual artist with a playful and intuitive approach. She works with mixed media mosaic. Her work is highly energetic but also shows mind-boggling details. She likes to play with the eyes natural ability to wander around on the picture or figure, aiming to create a sensation where one loose "language" and enter the world of details and "zooming in and out" between the details and giving them a higher purpose, new life, in the visual perspective for understanding.

Martha Elisabeth Landa holds holds a study of Art & Craft from Stavanger univercity (2017/18), a Master Degree in Management and a Bachelor Degree in Social Studies (Communication & Media, Art history) and a . She works with a mixture of old memory-lane items together with up-cycling electronic parts, glass, tiles, epoxy, iron, beads, pebbles, minerals, clay, led lighting and other things.
She prefers to create a lot of the pieces her selves, like picking and polishing stones, lampwork beads and creatures, clay and more. Using this together with the traditional tiles, tessera, smalti, glas and rocks. The thoughtful soursing of materials through the close surroundings, aiming to give them new life, embodies the contemporary consciouness of sustainability. She is interrested in the visual qualities of the materials and the technical possibilities they allow. After going to school again, 2018, she started to use wood and silver, making jewellery, and exploring the cross between the hard and the soft materials.
Her aspiration is to trigger the audience curiosity, aiming for them to directly interact with her artworks. She wishes for them to explore and participate, inviting them to see things outside the box. She has a strong connection with digital media thus, subsequently, constantly tends to explore any technological advance and the effect they have on people, nature and time. Like in the presented artpiece, the glas is printed with her own digital artwork to bring another dimention.
The artwork presented here and the one in the exchbition are both dealing with the large perspective. Like when you are looking down from an airplane. This artpiece is 140x140 cm, mixed media mosaic (incl led lights).
